Can you develop immunity to stomach bugs?

My daughter was sick four times yesterday, just watery, no diarrhoea. The last time she was ill was yesterday lunchtime. I spent all day and night in the same room with her looking after her. I seem to be fine at the moment but want to know if there is still a chance that i might have caught it. Can you develop immunity to stomach bugs or not. I suffer from Emetaphobia (phobia of being sick) so this is my worst nightmare, waiting to see if i'll be ok or not. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
